  I am a teacher working at East End High School. I have read from your notice that the East End Seaport Museum is now offering a special program, the 2017 Bug Lighthouse Experience. The program would be a great opportunity for our students to have fun and experience something new. I estimate that 50 students and teachers from our school would like to participate in it. Would you please let me know if it is possible to make a group reservation for the program for Saturday, November 18? We don’t want to miss this great opportunity. Dear Ms. Gibson,

  I had the pleasure of hearing you play at a wedding I attended last winter. I am getting married this spring and hope that my fiancé and I can engage your services for our wedding. We are getting married on Saturday, May 20, and the ceremony and reception will be on the grounds of the Smalltown Art Museum. We would like to have you play for about an hour as guests arrive, and then again after the ceremony for about two hours while we have cocktails and dinner. Please let me know if you are available. If you are, my fiancé and I will arrange to meet with you to discuss your fee and the selection of music.

What do you do if — despite following all of the advice and instructions for safe computing — you suspect that your computer has been infected by a virus, worm, or other unwanted intruder? Stop what you’re doing. Don’t attempt to fix anything yourself. Don’t send any messages. Pick up your telephone and call the IT Department help line at extension 4532. If it appears that your computer is busily sending out copies of the virus to others (that’s the way many of these nasty pieces of electronic graffiti work), turn off your computer. Don’t worry about shutting down your system in its standard, orderly process: Just turn it off or unplug it. We’ll repair any problems to your operating system once your computer has been disconnected from the office network and properly disinfected.

I have known Mrs. Wasserman for more than half a century, and I can assure you that she is a reliable and trustworthy individual of the highest character and integrity. Currently she is operating a group home, and she has also excelled in previous positions as a seamstress and nurse’s aide. Mrs. Wasserman has a gift for working with others.
